REALLY WORTH THE UNEXPECTED 2ND TRY I GAVE IT!!!!
I purchased Smooth Away shortly after it was first available in stores, hoping to use it on my legs so that I could stop shaving every day. I have a back injury that makes bending to shave difficult/painful, so the less time I have to spend in that position the better. I first tried it on my arms, and was impressed with how quickly it removed the hair on my arms and how soft my skin felt. My arms are not very hairy, but I love the feel of the smooth hairless skin. On to my legs...I tried it on them when I had approximately 4 days regrowth from shaving, and was hugely disappointed. It didn't really do anything, so I just kept on shaving and used it on my arms until I was out of pads, but never repurchased.Fast forward to today *Oct 2011*. I have a 10year old daughter that has the body of a 14/15 year old. She has very hairy legs *thanks to her father*, and it was turning dark around her ankles..very noticeable. A kid in her class called her "Monkey legs". I let her start...

Finally - something that works!
I have tried hair removal cream, waxing kits, cold wax strips, bleaching powder, plucking with tweezers and nothing has worked well enough for me to not always be on the lookout for another solution. I have very faint hair above my upper lip, but pesky,coarse individual hairs on my chin and under my chin that drive me nuts. Until now, waxing was the best method, but even that wasn't foolproof and the microwaveable wax seems to take a long time to melt and is fairly expensive if you consider how many uses you get out of one small container. Plus with waxing, you're supposed to pull from the opposite direction that the hairs are growing. For some reason, the hairs below my skin seem to grow in different directions (like a swirl), so this isn't possible.I also tried a Sally Hansen "Brazilian" style hair removal creme that was supposed to be acceptable for the face and it burned my upper lip and chin. So that leaves tweezing and I often end up with irritated welts on the skin...

I had forgotten how much I love these pads! This method of hair removal has been around for years and years but this version is the best by far. The applicator mitt is super comfortable and super easy to use. I have very dark, coarse hair and it works great for me.To get the best results it's important that you follow the instructions very closely. I've found that the skin does have to be dry and clean (no lotion). It helps if you hold the skin taut while applying light pressure to buff the area with the hair removal pad.I like this method because I find it's less messy than using hair removal creams or shaving cream and razors. While it's not the quickest way to remove hair from, say, both legs, I seem to get better results than with other methods. And I'm not confined to the bathroom. Hiar removal pads
I use these on the tops of my feet and toes to remove unwanted hair. This is the only thing I can use on this area to prevent ingrown hairs. If I shave in this area bumps appear- but the pads work in a sanding motion which apparently exfoliates the skin on top preventing ingrown hair bumps. They work and I am happy about that and will continue to buy them but they wear out very quickly and sometimes it takes awhile of rubbing to get the desired hair removal to take place. I am glad I only have such a small area which I need to use these.

Great Product
I've been using this product for years on my facial hair. I inherited too much facial and body hair. I couldn't figure out how to tame it down in my 40's. I was growing a beard and would shave and had to stop using deploritory creams because of skin burn.A sympathetic friend bought me this tool on an after Christmas sale, and this device has worked to slowly deplete my facial hair. Although, I have to make certain not to rub to hard on my skin, this product does not hurt or burn or feel uncomfortable on dry skin. In a few minutes of using the product every day - my beard is totally gone and is slowly disapearing. I would never quit using it. I own six of them now, since I found it at a remarkably low price.I only have to change the wheel once every year and 1/2.Worth the money if you have too much facial or body hair. AMAZING
I have extremely sensitive skin and shaving/waxing just kills my legs no matter what shaving cream, razors, or waxes the spa use. This hair removal system is AWESOME! That's all I can say. It left my skin extremely smooth and removed all the hair on my legs with great ease! NO bumps, NO pain, just smooth hair free legs. I'm definitely going to continue to use this product. I have even told me friends about it who are now going to buy one. I was skeptical at first but this product amazed me! Even my boyfriend was amazed! I did both of my legs, upper and lower in about half an hour. I barely used any pressure when applying it to my legs. The key is DON'T press it hard - just glide it along your skin and it will work. Works great for small areas
I have been using this product for a couple of years now, and if you want to get rid of hairs, especially unwanted darker body hair, this product works great. It's not painful and will only leave your skin irritated if you apply to much pressure during use.
