Surprising quality for the price
I bought one of these at a local furniture store for $80+...and it deteriorated in the washer or dryer, so I needed to replace it. I didn't want to spend another $80 so I took a chance on this one. I thought it would be cheap and plastic-sheet-like, but its just like the expensive one I was replacing. It has a nice rubbery membrane and a terry top with nice, stretchy sides that fits my mattress and pillow topper with room to spare. Top to learn more

Awesome Product - Has blocked 2 "accidents" so far!
Purchased 2 including a king size for a master bedroom, and a twin for a 4-y-old childs new bed. They both fit well, plenty of room but not too much. Mine (the king) is very comfortable, don't even know it's there.I was surprised (and nervous) though when I first opened the packages and saw how thin, and lightweight the covers are. I was terrified that if my son had an "accident" - which he hadn't had for several months - his new mattress would be a goner.Well, the "unfortunate" has now happened twice for some reason and both times nothing went through. My husband took the linens off the bed both times (he gets up before me), so I didn't see either inicidence "initially" - but by the time I headed to the laundry I had to keep looking and looking and never saw signs of anything. Don't know WHERE it went. Have washed it 3x (including the 1st before use) - on cold, lightweight, and not overdrying because it is so lightweight I don't want to wear it out. But...

Not good for prolonged wetness
Pros:not vinyl (a HUGE plus)ultra thin (great for storing the extra cover)goes onto the mattress very easily and covers the whole top portion (our other brand one leaves about an inch of mattress unprotected on the surface sides)Cons:does not contain wetness if left for more than a few minutes.This cover works great for my son who wakes up if he has an accident (so we change it quickly). However, my daughter does not wake up if she has an accident so we usually find out in the mornings that her bedding is wet. By then the mattress is wet. Not soaked, but definitely wet.If you have a child who alerts you then I don't think you'd be disappointed with this cover!

quality product
It fits a 9.5 inch deep mattress very well. It is soft and doesn't make crackling noises like the cheaper vinyl versions. I wasn't sure it was waterproof so I put a gallon of water in it and it was completely dry on the bottom about five hours later. The water is retained between the layers, so you can't air dry it. Putting it in the dryer at low heat works fine, though. The sides are not waterproof. If you need that you'll have to get one of the vinyl covers. Top to learn more
Fits the mattress, Prevents damage, & Good cushioning to bed
I bought 2 of these matress covers in a twin size to fit my toddlers "big girl bed". They are great. The cover has elastic on all sides so you get a good fit on the matress without it slipping off but not so much that you need help to get it on or off. It has prevented 2 'accidents' that would have damaged the new matress. It's also cushioned and adds some softness to the bed.I am very pleased with the cover. Top to learn more

Very Pleased
My husband and I purchased SafeRest mattress protectors for all the mattresses in our home to protect our mattresses from stains and allergens. Our two daughter have asthma and had been told that these may help. The mattress store we purchased our beds from had these, but they were over $80 a piece, which seemed a bit much given we were buying 3 protectors. The material is nice and thin so you can't notice it's there and it doesn't make any noise. The terry is also nice. My daughters appear to have benefited from the protectors so far. A decent pad, with a waterproof bonus.
I wanted to protect my brand new fancy mattress, knowing that perspiration and body debris was about the only thing that would ruin it over time and a mattress condom is very hard to get on and off compared to a stretch pad on a big and heavy bed.The size is perfect for a pillow top queen and the sheer sides are adequate, not too thin and tuck under nicely. It's a waterproof layer in between two cotton layers and when you wash it you will need to spin dry it at least twice, when they say waterproof they mean it and the water pools in the random pockets that get created when washed.If this pad is durable over years' time, it will be cheap insurance for an expensive mattress, just don't overheat it when drying it and damage the inner layer. Great mattress pad!
We wanted a waterproof mattress pad for our new memory foam mattress, just to protect it from life's little messes. When I read the reviews of various pads, my main criteria was that the pad be non-crackly, because we really hate the feel and sound of a plastic pad. I didn't care how thin the waterproof pad might be, since we would be using it under our regular mattress pad. Not quite Waterproof - Unfortunately.
I was very happy to find this type product in Twin XL size. Why Twin XL bedding is so difficult to find is beyond me. Now back to the review.I was very pleased with the design and apparent quality of this mattress pad. It fit on the mattress like a fitted sheet would and then we did put a fitted sheet over the pad. The mattress for this bed is the special Temper-Pedic memory foam which unfortunately costs approximately $2,000 for the mattress and being a foam-like material, it REALLY soaks up liquids. The cost of the mattress pad was reasonable and the mattress pad itself was soft and did not make any crinkling noises such as plastic would do.The first time the older adult experienced urinary incontinence during the night, he slept through the "accident" and when he woke up later and informed me of the accident, I immediately went to his room at 3:00 AM and stripped the sheet and the mattress pad. Toddler Perfect
My 3.5 yr old daughter has graduated to big-girl underwear and to a big-girl bed but like all good little toddlers every once in a while she has an ooops! and it's a real pain to change sheets and full size underpad at 3:30 with a wet screaming kid standing next to you.I looked around and saw the very expensive radio controlled pads that alert you in your bed when your child has wet her bed.....save the money, I can 100% assure you that if your kids wets their bed, you will 100% know about it within 10 to 15 minutes (there will be wimpering, wailing, screaming, or you'll get a visit to your bedside demanding the problem be fixed).I decided against the disposable pads because they weren't big enough and my toddler tosses around like a fish out of... A High-Quality Bed Pad At A Great Price!
This high-quality waterproof pad is made the same way as those that are used in hospitals only it - the Priva pad, is twice the size. I purchased two of these pads for my 86 year old mother who has a bladder control problem and alzheimers. We also have a safety rail on one side of her full-sized bed because she lays entirely on that one side and would fall of were it not there. The other side of her bed is against a wall as is her headboard. She can really, REALLY wet herself through the night if she doesn't wake up to go on her commode. (Or she calls someone to help her.) I position the pad lengthwise down the bed so she lays on the entire pad. It is wonderfull, it greatly protects the sheets and bed from wetness. I would give it more stars if I could!!! It does shift just ever so slightly but not more than an inch and is very comfortable to lay on. (I asked her this when she was in a good frame of mind so I know it to be true.) Best waterproof pad ever!!!
This pad is nice and big. It is very, very waterproof. I purchased this pad because we got a new puppy. The puppy pads that you buy are expensive and even the large size ones are not that big. Even if a dog uses them chances are great that it will run off on the carpet. My puppy learned to go on these thru the night by my placing a puppy pad in the center, eventually eliminating the puppy pad and just using the matress pad. (She is now trained and doesn't use them) When she would wet on them it would never, ever leak thru to the carpet. If you are buying this pad for a bed rest assured that if it didn't leak thru to the carpet it will not leak thru to a mattress. These are very thick with a great waterproof lining on the bottom. I bought 2 of them and they have been washed over and over. They have yet to show any wear. I would recommend them to anyone trying to keep anything dry.
